The Highlands at Plum Creek sits on Castle Rock’s south side, part of the wider Plum Creek area that fans out along Plum Creek Parkway from Interstate 25 Exit 181. The neighborhood’s centerpiece is Plum Creek Golf Club on Players Club Drive, a Pete Dye design that opened in 1984 and still welcomes public play.

The Highlands makes up the newer, larger-home portion of Plum Creek, with two-story and ranch floor plans, three-car garages and lots that run from roughly 8,000 square feet up to about half an acre. Children attend South Ridge Elementary on South Street, an International Baccalaureate World School, then Mesa Middle School and Douglas County High School in Douglas County School District RE-1.
