CO Elizabeth
The Settlement
The Settlement — recorded as the Elizabeth Settlement subdivision — is a small, low-maintenance pocket on Settlement Lane on the west side of Elizabeth, and it fills a gap in this market: a place in town with almost nothing to mow. The tri-level homes went up between the mid-1980s and the early 2000s on compact lots of roughly a tenth of an acre, most with basements and two off-street parking spaces.
Unlike the acreage subdivisions out on the county roads, these homes are on public water and public sewer, and the homeowners association takes care of grounds, road maintenance, snow removal and trash. Some homes back to open space.
Downtown Elizabeth is right there, with the shops along Banner Street, the Pines and Plains library on Beverly Street, and Casey Jones Park hosting the Elizabeth Stampede rodeo each June. Running Creek Elementary, Elizabeth Middle School and Elizabeth High School serve the neighborhood. Let us know if you would like to be notified when one comes up.
